To become a global philanthropic platform that fosters intercultural understanding, uplifts humanity, and promotes peace through the transformative power of Comparative Literature, education, research, and publications.

Missions

  1. To bridge cultures worldwide through comparative literary research, translation, and intercultural dialogue.
  2. To support education and research initiatives that address human dignity, equity, and global solidarity.
  3. To publish and disseminate knowledge through journals, books, and digital platforms, ensuring global accessibility.
  4. To empower marginalized voices in Bangladesh and beyond, projecting them into global conversations.
  5. To collaborate with international institutions, scholars, and donors for sustainable academic and humanitarian development.

  • Promote Comparative Literature as a tool for intercultural understanding and peace-building.
  • Support scholars, students, and researchers with grants, fellowships, and publication opportunities.
  •  Translate and globalize Bangla literature, making it accessible worldwide.
  • Establish collaborations with universities, research groups, and international organizations through MoUs.
  • Operate as a philanthropic foundation supporting literacy, education, and research globally.
  • Organize international conferences, symposia, and cultural exchange programs.
  • Develop digital platforms for research, publications, and global networking.

N.B.

The operation of the IBCF will be managed by
three key bodies, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning in accordance with
the terms outlined in the MOA of IBCF. These bodies include the Advisory
Committee, IBC Foundation
, which provides strategic guidance; the Directors,
IBC Foundation
, responsible for overall governance and leadership; and
the Executive Committee, IBC Foundation, which oversees the
day-to-day operations and execution of initiatives. Together, they will ensure
the foundation operates effectively and in alignment with its objectives.

1. The name of the Society is IBC FOUNDATION

2. The Registered Office of the Society is situated in Bangladesh at Fagunbari, 1st Floor, Pandhoa Bazar, G. School
& College Road, Senwalia, Bishmile, Savar, Dhaka -1342
.

3. THE OBJECTS FOR WHICH THE SOCTETY IS ESTABLISHED ARE :

  1. To engage in charitable purposes and social
    welfare activities strictly on nonprofit basis.
  2. To empower young scholars by providing
    mentorship, research guidance, training, and publication support.
  3. To promote academic excellence by offering
    seminars, workshops, research opportunities, and professional development
    programs
  4. To ensure that no talent is wasted due to
    financial hardship by offering scholarships, stipends, grants, or
    educational materials to meritorious students.
  5. To support orphans, women, disadvantaged
    populations, rural youth, and marginalized groups in accessing quality
    education and skill-development opportunities.
  6. To provide dedicated care for elderly individuals
    and create a specialized Caregiving Home and Green-Humanized Hospital
    City, equipped with comprehensive facilities to support both orphans and
    seniors in need of care.
  7. To promote intellectual exchange by organizing
    national and international conferences, symposiums, fellowships, and
    academic forums.
  8. To facilitate global academic networking through
    the publication of books, journals, research papers, newsletters, and
    digital academic content.
  9. To encourage innovation in literature, arts,
    culture, and social sciences through competitions, awards, training,
    exhibitions, and collaborative projects.
  10. To preserve and promote Bangladeshi cultural
    heritage while fostering creative expression and interdisciplinary dialogue.
  11. To foster global harmony by promoting
    intercultural understanding and bridging communities through literature,
    research, and collaborative cultural initiatives.
  12. To build networks with international
    institutions, universities, cultural bodies, and academic organizations.
  13. To purchase, take on lease, exchange. Hire or
    otherwise acquire immovable or movable properties. Rights and privileges
    whatsoever to build, construct alter and maintain buildings. houses or
    other constructions for the foundation .
  14. To receive grants, donations, endowments, and
    financial contributions from individuals, organizations, or development
    partners—local or international—subject to the laws of Bangladesh
  15.  To
    establish training centers, resource hubs, and learning facilities.
    Employ staff, consultants, researchers, or
    specialists as needed.
    Undertake any lawful
    activity necessary for the promotion of the Foundation’s objectives
  16. To publish print and digital educational
    materials, journals, books, educational reports, magazines, newspapers,
    periodicals, thesis, researches, writings, discoveries, documents, news
    and information.
  17. Provide free legal advice, legal services and
    education to individuals, groups or disadvantaged people who suffer human
    rights violations and to groups who advocate for them. Participate in
    activities that redress inequalities and defects in laws, policies, the
    legal system, and administrative and social practices that impact on
    disadvantaged people
  18. To arrange for money for such persons, firms or
    associations, on such terms and conditions as may seem expedient in
    furthering the objectives of the foundation.
  19. In association with any foreign organization or
    on its own the foundation may undertake all or any of its programs or
    activities in any country of the world or assist the replication of such
    programs or activities in such manner as the Governing Body may decide
    from time to time.
  20. To receive donation from any person, local
    organizations, corporate bodies including without limitation private and
    public limited companies, Government of Bangladesh, International
    Development Agencies. International Organizations. Foreign Governments, UN
    Agencies from home and abroad.
  21. To enter into any arrangement with any Government
    or authority, local municipal or otherwise public or quasi-public bodies
    that may seem conducive to the objects of the Society for rights,
    privileges and concessions, which the Society may think desirable to
    obtain and to carry out, exercise, and comply may such arrangements,
    rights, privileges and concessions.
  22. To invest and deal with the money of the
    foundation not immediately required in such manner as may from time to
    time be determined.
  23. To guarantee or stand as surety to secure any
    obligation of any sister concern of the foundation and/or any other organization
    in which the foundation may be interested.
  24. To invest money of the
    foundation in such securities, shares, debentures, capital notes, real
    estate, property including establishing any industry or business or
    otherwise without limitation in such manner as may from time to time be
    determined by the Governing body.
  25. To arrange and borrow monies and raise funds
    required for the objects and purposes of the foundation or for any
    industry established by the foundation against such security as may be
    required.
  26. To draw, make, accept, discount, execute and
    issue bills of exchange, promissory notes, bills, bills of lading,
    warrants, debentures and other negotiable or transferable instruments or
    securities.
  27. To remunerate any person or Company for services
    rendered or to be rendered in or about the formation or promotion of the
    Society or the acquisition of property by the foundation.
  28. To act or be appointed as trustee, agent,
    representative, delegate to control, manage, superintend and to provide
    other assistance to any association, institution or group which  the foundation may seem advantageous to
    achieve any of its own objects and purposes.
  29. To fund, aid, assist, establish, maintain, run,
    administer, manage trusts, funds grants and other beneficial entities.
  30. To
    raise and allocate funds through Microcredit programs  to uplift and improve the quality of
    life for marginalized, subaltern and underserved students, senior citizens
    – communities.
  31. To establish in any place in Bangladesh or
    elsewhere in the world such branch, agency or local board for managing any
    of the affairs of the foundation as may be considered necessary and
    expedient.
  32. To manage all concerns and affairs of the
    Society, to appoint and employ officers, organizers, workmen for the
    purpose of the Society and to remove or dismiss them and appoint others in
    their place and to pay such persons as aforesaid such salaries, wages or
    other remuneration as may be deemed fit and proper.
  33.  The
    Governing Body may from time to time delegate all or any of their powers and
    authorities herein to the Chief Executive Officer, members of Governing
    Body, officers of the Society and/or any other person(s) as they may
    decide.
  34. The Chairperson shall exercise such powers and
    fulfill such functions, as may be determined from time to time by the
    Governing Body.
